Fishermen near Mount Pleasant hauled in a blue marlin weighing over 500 pounds into Toler’s Cove Marina Friday afternoon.

The marlin was 507.4 pounds and reeled in on the ‘Pipe Down’ boat. 

Approximately 40 boats will be gunning for more than a half million dollars in the third annual S.C. Blue Marlin Invitational.

The 2nd Annual SCBMI celebrated four winners this year, but not quite for the reasons you might expect.
